Discover Easy Weight Loss, Renewed Health & Greater Vitality with Whole, Live, Raw Foods

Bobross_CUI've been vegetarian for 40 years. I studied nutrition in the 1980s at UC Berkeley. I was a nutritional writer for the Shaklee Corporation a Fortune 500 company, from 1980-1986.

I discovered raw food in 1995 at Anne Wigmore's Optimum Health Institute in San Francisco. I originally was a guest for several weeks, due to a chronic illness. After feeling better than I had for years, I decided to stay as a volunteer. I endedworking there for several years, teaching manyraw food classes. In2001 I moved to Florida where I taught raw food classes at the New Life Expo and Wild Oats stores for 2-3 years. I created the first version ofthis web site in 1996.

Having basically “cured” a chronic illness, and lost a lot of excess weight over the years, it is no wonder that I am an avid proponent of this lifestyle. But in addition to believing in it, and studying the science behind it, it is also a sacred mission for me. I feel a spiritual and deeply personal responsibility to share my experience and understanding with people as much as I possibly can. I hope, with the help of this web site, to make being a raw food author, lecturer and activist my full time career.

In addition to teaching about the scientific basis behind raw food nutrition, I play blues harmonica, folk guitar and the didgeridoo, do digital photography, use biodiesel in my VW, love to dance, and help care for my 86 year old mother.
